Dash Removal-Remove steering wheel?

When removing the dash for heater core replacement on a 1990 80, should the steering wheel be removed (with airbag)?

yes.

two torx behind the wheel. that gains access to the nut holding the wheel on. then you remove the nut. then you set off the airbag with a 9v batter
