Had another go at trying to remove my front brake caliper brackets to remove the discs, got the right hand side one removed with a butane gas torch and by filing the hex head and hammering a smaller socket over one of the bolts, the other was easier. But the left hand side is just unbelievable! those bolts will not budge an inch, I'm applying so much torque that the whole wheel assembly and suspension moves up and the socket/wrench just turns off the bolt head, all this as well as applying generous amounts of heat and tightly fitting sockets.
Obviously I'm now taking it to a mech shop but what tools in their arsenal are they going to use? oxyacetalene torch? heat the ****er up untill it glows red hot? air imapact wrench?
Such a simple job but defeated by lousy stinkin' bolts with secret formula threadlock developed by NASA!
