...flicked on both lights cut out completely.

With just the lows on the high beam light illuminates very dimly.

Sound like a bad headlight switch?

Yeah it also sounds like you need relays.

Might want to inspect the connections before the switch. Could be a grounding prob

Default Need relays for what? Same wattage as OE bulbs, same connectors, same everything...

...just Depo over Bosch headlight. Direct tit-for-tat swap....what am I missing?

Default How did you wire in the bulbs?.........

many times people mess up the ground, low hot and high hot connections to either the relays (if installed) or the bulb sockets. My first attempt 7 years ago taught me a lot when there were some dimming lights. IIRC the H4 bulb connectors looking from the back are-- top horiz is low bm (yellow) right vert is high bm (white) and left vert is ground (brown)

Default I didn't wire them, previous owner did - has the standard B4 connectors on the headlights...

...I assumed they just screwed the headlight assembly in and plugged in the factory wiring connector to the headlights.

Nothing looks hacked or wrong from what I can tell...

Default its not a bad headlight switch, its the connection....if you look

on the back of the headlight housing, you connected a 3 or 4 prong connector, cant remember, but they are 4 circular type conical pins. They fit in more than one way, rotate the position it is in, and that headlight will work properly.

Thats for sure what it is

Default I hope it's that simple...

...I know the OE headlight is keyed so you can't put it in wrong, but I bet the Depos aren't... /

Nope, only other way it'd go on wouldn't power the bulb...
