Hey guys, i just bought an 88 90Q of a friend of mine that needs a new clutch. I got the sachs kit but, however, after taking a look at the the tranny i am a little stuck for the easiest removal route.
I did a search of the archive and coulddn't get anything, could somebody post a diagram of how to remove the tranny and clutch.
You can email it to me if feel that would be easier.
In the meantime could anybody offer any insider tips to mae this as smooth as possible, without saying get the bently, thats my next buy after i but my new mounts and fuel lines.
Thanks guys,
mark

u gotta get the tranny out...the tranny seems overwhelming at first but its really not that hard... exhaust comes out, downpipe, subframe, disconnect the powersteering from the rack above the tranny, then disconnect the driveshaft, and take out the tranny..to get out teh clutch you have to unbolt the pressure plate and then clutch comes off to..in order to reinstall you need an alignment too the align the clutch with the input shaft... then bolt things back together..take about one week to do...took my four days to get teh transmission out and im looking for an alignment tool...
