did all b4's have a hitachi MAF?
just poking around the other day and noticed this. I ran a search that came up with alot of "if you have a hitachi maf you have a bosch ecu" threads.
everything works fine but was'nt the hitachi maf considered small and a poor design compared to the bosch?
I had a hitachi tv years ago that worked great but thats a tv, who knows how well they make auto parts?
doesnt rice on an audi seem a bit out of place?

what about the screws?
I read where audi used tamper resistant torx, whereas I have phillips. I am just wondering if at some point it was'nt taken out either to clean or replace.
I am sure the hitachi ecu's and maf's work or i would of seen more posts on the subject when i did a search.
the only complaint was on hitachi injectors on the 20v

I think it's only for North America though as I remember reading that Euro-spec 12Vs...
...have a Bosch ECU setup (and I think someone here might even have tried the Bosch ECU but said it didn't run as well).
