Did euro Audi's have "parking lights" ?

We all know what the 5w city light in the euro clusters is about.
However, euro BMWs of this era have something called "parking lights". When the vehicle is powered off, if you set the turn signal stalk, it will illuminate the city light on only that side of the vehicle.. and a light in the rear cluster on the same side. The idea is that when you're street parked on narrow european roads, you set your parking lights on the side sitting in the street to make it obvious there is a car parked there protruding into the roadway.
On a BMW you need euro lights and wiring.. as well as euro turn-signal stalk.
Did Audi's feature this at all? I street park the car in some dark places from time to time..
I figure i've got euro lights with city lights.. i should utilize them with maximum functionality. If there's no factory solutino to this maybe i can come up with my own circuit for it..

If you look on the back of the ignition switch, there is a connector labelled P. I think it's on the switch, but nothing connects on the harness. This is only active when the key is out of the ignition (did some testing on a switch a while ago).
I imagine this connector fed power to another switch that you could then switch on to light up the city lights. I know newer subaru's have a switch ontop of the steering column to enable the parking lights.
I forget if the turn signal stalk has a "p" label on it. Pull yours apart and find out! If it does, then do some continuity tests between that "p" and terminals on the back to see if the turn signal does turn on a circuit. Then it's just a matter of doing some wiring.
