Default Do the headlight washer jets and windscreen washer jets use the same pump?

My car did not have the optional headlight washers fitted but I have since fitted the RS2 washer jets but I need to know whether the same pump as the windscreen washer jets can be used or do I require a new fluid container and pump?
Do the headlight washers work only when the headlights are on? - I know there is a relay for them.

Thanks for any help.

No, it's a seperate pump. My windshield washers died but the headlights worked fine. I had the windshield washer pump replaced and it works fine. As for the headlight washers, they only come on when the headlights are on.

Yeah and it looks like the headlight one is a bigger tank.

on the coupe, the headlight washer fluid is in a separate container from the windshield washer fluid. and the tank for the headlight washer is huge. the only part of the tank you can see is the filling nossle. so when i got half way through my second four litre (1 gal. u.s.) jug with no end in sight i started to think there was a bad leak. however, no fluid under the car so i went for my owner's manual. yep. big tank. thanks for reading my highly interesting story...

Default How do I take an electrical connection from the fuse box?

It seems that I have the V6 fluid container that has two pump locations. At the moment I use one for the screen wash while the other that is used for headlights is "plugged". All I need is the second pump, some plumbing tube,T-pieces etc, electrical relay for switching the pump when the headlights are on and some electrical wire to connect the pump to the relay.
Q. how do I connect the pump to the relay in the fuse box and what is the relay part no.?

Thanks for helping with my little project!

Ya gotta find and empty slot, up under the fuse box, up under the dash.
