Do Valve guides seal any openings to coolant ports? Or are they only pressed into soilid aluminum?

Do Valve guides seal any openings to coolant ports? Or are they only pressed into soilid aluminum?
Anyone understand that? Wondering if a Valve guide goes, could it leak coolant?
