well, the car runs quite well these days but after having covered 270,000 kms, there's a little bit of slop in the drivetrain....thank god not the tranny, very tight. if i were to go scrounging through the scrap yard, what other cars could i pluck some CV joints from. 91 cq btw. i'm sure the axles will be different lengths but i'd assume the CVs have the same spline.
also, i have quite a bit of play in the rear diff...kinda like it was rebuilt but the shims were left out. i was looking on my etka cd and i got a part number for a repair kit: 005 498 081. it mentions gears in the description so i'm wondering if i also get the ring and pinion. checked the price at impex and it was "only" $200 so i kinda think i'm being a little optimistic. is there another rebuild kit out there?
