Is it easy to swap heated power seats into a car not wired for the power seats?

Are different rails required? Do I need wiring? Relays? Other??

well the rails should work, but the fronts are drilled in. That is if you are using B4's to B4's. Additional wiring and relays are needed....and guess what, I have what you need to do it and the know how.

After sitting in both power and manual seats (manual in my car) I prefer, suprise, manual. I heard the power seats had taller bases but I didn't realize how much taller until I actually sat in them.
For the cars like the CQ with sunroofs, my head is close enough to the roof with the manual seat all the way down.
On the other hand, the heaters are shweeeeet. Mine is always set on 3 unless it's hot outside, which in Seattle doesn't happen until July, and even that is questionable.

The floor pans for power vs manual are totally different. Yes, the slider rails are the same, but the floor pans are definitely not. You would have to cut a section out of your car and a donor and swap them. That requires a plasma torch or other cutting tool and a welder. My sister has asked if I could put a set of power seats in her Cabrio, I've said yes, if she gets me a donor B3 or B4.
And no, you can't just "drill the fronts in". If it were that simple, my sister's cabrio would have power heated seats already (she has heated seats, but not power).

that on the passenger side, there is a bracket thing, that has to be cut off, then there is a raise in the floor which is identical to the driver just without a few holes.
To me, I hop off the lock slider bracket on passenger. Make my hole marks, drill in some threaded holes insert seat. I don't see what the big deal is. The biggest problem I am going to occur is making sure I can get threaded holes in there.

just need to get them to secure/fasten in. See if these pictures of my car in its current status help.
passenger side

passenger side, you can kinda see the bracket where the manual seat latches too.

driver's side for comparison. No latch and there are welded threaded nuts on the underside of the bracket, otherwise IDENTICAL.
