ECU & mapping... '98 Cab (AFC) vs. '96 A4 (AFC)
Anybody out there happen to know if the ECU profile remains the same for every AFC engine with the 4-speed automatic?
Volo Performance has an ECU mod that I'm looking at, but it's configured for the soft re-mapping of the '96 A4 (AFC) ECU. I have a '98 Cab. Is the ECU programmed differently? Or is the ECU for a 12-valve (AFC) the same as any other ECU for a 12-valve (AFC)?
How or where would I find out about the "Versions" of ECU used for the '96 A4 (AFC) and the '98 Cab (AFC)?
Cheers,
LG

Thanks Maine. That's another way of phrasing my question. Is the actual ECU unit (part #) the EXACT same for all AFC 12-valves?
I know the ECU is the same from the (AAH) in the Cab to the (AFC) in the Cab. But the fuel/air needs of an AFC engine from a four-door sedan could be entirely different from a 2-door convertible, for all I know.
