Default Eibach or H&R

I've been looking at both, any opinions?

Eibach (363-1510.140)-1.4" $260 shipped

OR

H&R (50311)-1.25" $225 shipped.

I'm going to run Bilstien Sports on a CQ.

Default Eibach.

Good to see they are importing them for our cars again. They were unavailable a year ago, luckily I found a used set. Where are you getting yours from? Be sure and let us know if they actually show up.

I like my S2 springs better, however. They are stiffer, but don't lower the car at all. Plus they are linear all the way around - I don't care much for progressive. The Eibachs are linear in front, progressive in back. The H&Rs are progressive front and back, iirc.

Default H&R

I love the fact that the H&R are progressive all the way around but keep in mind that I live in Michigan where the roads suck. I have the bilstein sport/H&R combo and it works great except for the fact that I have no rear sway - yet. Which every way you go make sure a knowledgable person does the alignment cause that can make or break a good setup.

Default S2 springs seem more my taste.

Where would I get my hands on a set of those?

Default Personal preference both are good, but I run a form of H&R/Bilstein on both cars and love it.

H&R "race" with bilstein sports on the S4
H&R Gruppe G with custom valved bilsteins on the 325.

I think they are excellent quality, excellent riding springs. And as CastleCQ said, the progressive rates on the street kits make it a lot less punishing for street usage. Although to be fair, I thought the Eibach street setups were progressive as well, could be wrong.

You'll be happy either way.
