I just got a 1995 cabriolet, great shape and great looking car!!
Is it known that Audi have some electrical problems or is it a joke?

Bad ignition switches are known to cause many electrical problems...
...the power tops can be finicky, trunklid wiring harness go, airbag clocksprings go...
