Default Euro (hella) H4 headlight adjuster motors/harness FTW...

What a pleasure to find a friendly German that dug up a set of these for me!

(Now I have to send him a canoe to reciprocate

So, anyone who has done this recently <cv tech, scargo02 etc>, can you help me confirm 3 of the wires. After much searching, the latest info I found was from cvtech this past March in this schematic..

So, the brown to ground .. easy.

The yellow to 12v constant power? or switched? (My educated guess in 12v constant)

So the black w/ blue stripe. This is for illumination? Or does this go to 12v constant or switched? Anyone tested to be sure?

Illumination makes more sense to me, but I would love to know for sure b4 hookin' it all up. For such a hard thing to find, it seems to easy to hook up..hehe...but I'll take it ..

Default the schematic that you see there is what I used to make mine work

and yes, brown is ground, yellow I wired 12v switch but from the headlight switch because you wouldn't need these with the headlights off, and blue with black for illumination but my illumination doesn't work probably because of a bad bulb in the switch but thats unconfirmed because my lazy *** just haven't done it yet.

Default Like CvTech said, definately wire the power source to 12v switched.

I see a white wire going to the connector for the switch. On everything I've seen, a white and blue wire is used for illumination. However, Audi may have switched it up here.

Default Nice..I knew it would be both of you to respond...I'll do it that way and report to everyone...

what I found to work. Thanks guys...

I've got 3 switches..both a b3 switch that matches better, and 2 new switches (pics later depending on what works) so I'll know for sure if it's a bad switch or not.
