I have an exhaust leak on my '91 Audi 90 Quattro 20V in the location pictured (just before the catalytic converter). Any advice on how to fix it?

Unfortunately, that area gets way too hot to hold any quick-fix remedy like an exhaust bandage.
Just as unfortunate is the fact that, for a pipe to corrode enough to split where it did, there's no way to fill it with a welder. The surrounding metal is probably paper-thin.
Right there is where you get the most torsion in your exhaust system from accel and decel. It has to be solid. It can't be repaired. It must be replaced.

I ended up taking it to a local shopand getting the bad section cut out and a flex pipe put in. It made a world of difference in the sound!
