Default Exhaust? MikTip...

When you had your Moroso resonators did you have a rear muffler or just tips? I am going with the moroso setup but not sure how it will sound with just a tip? Or should I go with a tip that has a resonator build in on top of the morosos? I don't mind the deep exhaust sound I just don't like the dronning and I also want the best flow.

Default Re: Exhaust?

The Moroso's replaced the 2 center mufflers.

The Moroso's alone with no rear muffler, are quite loud, and sound like you "need" a muffler.

I have a Ultra-flow rear muffler which is of "straight-thru" design. Combined with the Moroso's, it sounds pretty good.

I've recently replaced my Moroso's with 2- 4"x 14" Magna-flow resonators. Much smoother sound. Still deep, and of same loudness level, but more smooth.

The Moroso's have a sort of "can" sound at certain rpms. Originally I placed them "in-line" after the 2 into 1 connection. This proved to not be ideal with the V6. I then installed an "X" pipe right after the cats, then the Moroso's, side by side, 1 for each bank of 3 cylinders. However the can sound was still there. So I went with the Magna-flow stainless 4" rounds in their place.

Lots of experimenting with my exhaust system!

Prior to all this I ran the OE center mufflers, without the rear muffler. Only had tips there.
Sounded pretty good!

Default Exhaust Question

MikTip,
Do you have two 4" Magnaflow SS, one for each bank of 3 cylinders, or just one 4" Magnaflow SS muffler for all 6 cylindes?
Thank you.

Default Got a pic or diagram of your exhaust?

How much did the magnaflows cost? I'd like to try your setup.

Default 2. 1 for each 3 cylinders. Reduced the raspberries!

1 allowed a slight "rasp" at certain rpms.

2 did the trick!
