Hey, a few threads down there was talk about some problems with the factory alarm. Someone said there's a hood sensor and a door sensor. My interior lights don't come on when I open the door and when I lock the door the inside console light flashes but there's not beeping to let me know the system is engaged. I was just wondering if this is something that could be wrong with the door and hood sensor or what? And where exactly are these sensors so I can look at replacing them?

and it does exactly what you are explaining. You can have the lights turn on when the door is opened by flipping the switch on the light to it's highest position.

Can anyone say if their B4 makes a noise when you lock the car?

My '93 90 made that weak beep noise when locking.

It says in the owners manual that's what it's suppose to do, flash and then the horn is suppose to beep.

Gah, add another thing to fix to the list

My B4 sounds like the horn is honking in the trunk when I lock the doors.

My B4 honks to confirm. When it doesn't honk, I know that my driver side switch needs to be jiggle.
