Failed Emissions, High HC at idle.
Hey All,
Long time since I posted here but I have this nagging problem right now, keep failing emissions and need to get car registered.
I have high HC at idle, and at 2500 rpms as well, I have replaced the catalytic converter (actually made HC value go up!), recently gave the car a full tune up (plugs, wires, distrib and cap, fuel filter, air filter oil change). The Idle is fine at 800, no stalls the smog guy says it probably running rich.
I searched the forums and wasnt really able to pinpoint what I should do, I guess I could lean out the mixture but I dont know how to do this myself accuratley. Maybe someone could tell me how todo this. Im at school right now and theres not a decent guy in the area who knows these cars. Any advice appreciated thanks!
