this is a night and day difference, more low end power for sure. one hose had a 3 inch crack and the other one had a gash at the bend. This solved my rough idle, which was by the way REALLY ROUGH and now its completley normal. i reccomend anyone out there not to lazy this part because it will solve your idle problem. total cost: autozone: he didnt want to charge me for 5 inches of hose and another 3 inches...so 0.00 for hose and 2.57 for 4 hose clamps. Couple immeadite things i noticed. More low end, very nice start up, cats sound very nice now and exhuast has a very nice tone. car runs smoother, and no more annoying rpm meter flying up and down. NOTE: this is not that flannel material vacuum hose, this is the black rubber one, if you look near the ISV, your looking in the wrong place, its on the b4 90 right behind the v6 engine cover to the right hand lower side.
good luck to those with rough idles, im now on the good idle side. special thanks to scar2go and some other people for hose info.
thanks all

What two things does it connect? I'm having a hard time picturing which hose you are describing. I've got some similar symptoms...especially noisy cat.
