Firewall Penetration

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a place to punch through the firewall on the driver side with a 8 guage (about 1/4") wire?

There is a hole with a rubber plug...

Right in front of driver about 6"-10" below the top of fire wall. Works well. It is maybe 1/2 wide by 1" tall???
