1990 -80 4 cylinder. Left it sitting 5 years ago. It ran at the time it was put away.
Pulled plugs, put a squirt of wd-40 in each. Drained gas, changed oil, turned engine manually to make sure it wasnt locked up.
Couple of issues. Starter wont work, I did jump it at the solenoid, it works there. Guess is either ign switch, or relay. I do have a nice bentley's work shop manual. Says to check if relay is geting power by going to one pin and ground and another pin and ground?
Does that mean to do one than the other? Both at the same time? Forget the pin numbers but it really reads so I cant tell!
I did pull the whole fuel pump, accum, filter tray. I was all so badly rusted I didnt have any choice when trying to change the fuel filter! Need all new parts, including the hoses. What is the best place to buy?
Last but not least, it has been years since I worked on this car, and I've seen where people say it's simple to change out the starter! It took me an hour to find it! Hidden behind the a/c compressor. Had to pull that just to jump the starter. Is there some secret way to get to it, lol?
Thanks for any help!
