OK... I posted previously about my sudden lack of cold air - As a brief summary, the system was charged at the beginning of the summer, worked great, one day the air was ice cold, the next day it was warm. Today I discovered (via an Audiworld tech article) how to read the OBD codes through the Climate Control Panel. Very cool! What a great tool! Anyway, I determined that my compressor is only staying on for a second or two, then shutting off for a second or two (in addition to being able to hear this, the OBD confirmed it in a number of ways: intermittent nature of the recirculation flap, compressor rpm, etc...).
Since the compressor will not stay on if a fault is detected, I checked the A/C Switch-Off codes. The fault code displayed was "A/C Refrigerant Low Pressure Switch."
Now, here's my question...
Does this simply mean that I'm low on refrigerant, or is there actually a component called the "A/C Refrigerant Low Pressure Switch" that has failed?

It does exist! ;o)
Located up behind your ECU.
Which is up against the firewall, behind the a/c box, above the passengers feet.!
You can see it in the above picture, above the green piece, over to the right.
Check to see if its electrical connector has come loose?
You'll need to have a set a pressure gauges hooked up to see if your system is low on freon.
