Fuel Injectors

I have the original fuel injectors on my 88 80Q. I replaced the seals and sleeves on them last year and noticed the spray heads (metal type) were clean. I have 260,000 miles on the clock, do I need to replace these? They look clean! Is there something else that could go wrong with them? Someone told me to replace them after a certain number of miles. I also heard the metal head style injectors last longer than the newer plastic head ones...I don't use **** gas, I use Lucas gas treatment every fill up. I didnt know if these parts wear out. Any info appreciated. TIA

Fuel injectors are built to last, they don't have a service interval on them. If your interested in maint. have them ultrasonically cleaned.

Mr 88 80Q, If your car is starting easily, (not taking 20 seconds of cranking time) then the injectors are fine
Especially if you replaced the seals... I would think that's pretty much what goes bad anyway. Keep using injector cleaner every so often. I've tried to, but I think it's too late in my case.
