Default Fuel sending unit...

Has anyone ever replaced the fuel sending unit in their CQ? My guage varies from one start to the next so I cannot trust it and the dealer wants to charge me an hour's labor just to see if it is the sending unit or the guage. My guess is the guage. I was just wondering if I have to empty the tank and drop it or if there is access from above.

Default why do you suspect the gauge?

not exactly an 'often' heard about issue in these cars.

Default Does your temp. gauge work in the cluster? If both aren't working it's about a $10 voltage...

...regulator on the cluster.

Actually, no. The temp guage was replaced with a Autometer gauge.

i think you can repair the sender with 2" of 18-20ga wires and solder them in

Default My gauges only work sometimes. Does the cluster come out easily?

Is there a diagram or pic that shows where the regulator is on the cluster?

Default STFA for how to remove the cluster...very easy.

Voltage regulator is to the left-most edge of #6...
