here's a silly idea -
my 88 90Q has lame brakes, a tired suspension, and apparently, a goofy bolt pattern (4x108)
putting better brakes on means at least big wheels, but buying wheels is subject to the bolt pattern..
if i dont like the hubs, brakes, or suspensino components, can i do a straight across swap from say, a B5 S4 ? strut assemblies, hubs, brakes, etc. Then it'd be factory audi parts but all around improved over what i've got currently.
Anyone thought about this ?
if i were going to dump a bunch of money into the car, i'd want to be able to use adjustable suspension bits (winter vs summer settings, basically.. ride height, firmness, etc). that seems a lot more likely working off of B5 S4 parts than B3 90Q parts

moolah to do what you are contemplating. Do a search of the
Forum archives to get an idea of what you are going to get
yourself into.

There are brake and suspension packages available for your McPhearson/Chapman strut setup, several in fact. There are also more wheels out there for the 4x108 pattern than you realize. If you do anything to get a 5x112 pattern, it won't be by using a B5 A4/S4 suspension etc. There are a couple ways to get the 5x112 using factory parts from other Audis.
