Ok, so something wierd happened to my clutch the other day. I know that the clutch is supposed to have some free play in the pedal to make sure the throw out bearing is not pre maturely worn...however...the other day I noticed that I have way too much, about 2 inches. I know the clutch is self adjusting, but anyone have any idea what is up? Is the clutch on a 1988 90 quattro cable linkage, hydrolic? If cable, where do I find the cable. Or if hydrolic, wheres the hydro fluid reservoir for it? Thanks guys...

For nothing else, simple referance.
Your clutch is hydraulic.
It shares the same fluid as your brakes. It taps
off the brake fluid resivior. It is no self adjusting.
If you find yourself adding fluid, and the clutch pedal continues to give problems, you probably have a leaking master cylinder or slave cylinder.
