Default FWD >>>> Q

new to forum.
have a 1996 audi cabriolet (follow URL for photos) Here are problems, front wheel drive, automatic, 2.8L everything is stock.

Where do I start on upgrades, and is it possible to convert car to quattro?

http://www.cardomain.com/id/96cab</a

Default nice

looks like its in great shape.

my advice:
find someone that wants a fancy european car thats an automatic convertible. aka, a dumbass, and sell it to them for as much money as possible.

then, use that money to buy a car thats a Quattro 5spd.

Default You can't buy a quattro ragtop though...

I'd start with a '93-95 Audi 90 parts car with a complete driveline.

You'd need the transmission, driveshaft, rear diff, rear suspention, exhaust, pedals, shifter linkage, shift boot, center console, diff lock switch.

Might possibly have to relocate a gastank or cut up the rear part of the car.

Default I'd actually start with a CQ driveline and floor pan. MUCH closer in dimensions than a B4q sedan.

I'm trying to find the article that was written by Ian Kuah on the converted cabrio. Not having much luck.

Default The S2 Cabrio was built by quattrosports UK (Kim Collins)

Their site is up, sort of. They need to fix the server settings.

http://www.quattrosports.co.uk/</a
