FYI Found perforated aluminum sheets
I was at Harbor Freight today and they had some perforated aluminum sheets on clearance. They are actually grill sheets for cooking small items without them falling through the grates.
The holes are maybe 5/16" on about a 1" spacing. I didn't measure, but that's a quick guess as good or bad as my eyesight is.
Two sheets are maybe 18" x 12" or so.
Clearance price was $2.99 for two sheets.
Might be good for an IC shield or oil cooler cover. They're fairly thin so working them to shape looks to be relatively easy.

If I get to the shop today I'll take one for you
I went to the Harborfreight website, but they don't even list it there. Must be some odd leftover clearance item they happened to have. Your local store would be the best way to locate it probably.
I'd call them first to save on gas.
