Hi all,
I think I'm getting very sub par performance in terms of gas milage on my car. Its an '89 90 Quattro (Manual) and when I fill up (18.5 Gallons) the best I can expect is about 250-260 miles. Thats like 13-14 MPG; ack. I always buy at least plus and I don't drive the car too hard. What the heck is going on here? Is there something I need to replace or is this car just natually a gas guzzler? Many thanks.

How does that effect gas milage? I don't know I'm just asking. Is it pretty easy to replace? Something I can probably do myself? If so where is it located?

I just recently did mine. The instructions are for the 20V but everything is simillar for your car. If you get a universal type replacement it is very easy. Just cut the wires off the old one, unscrew it (22 mm), clean hole, put oxygen sensor safe anti-seize on new one, screw it in and splice old wires to new oxygen sensor.

Oxygen sensor fix.
