Well, I haven't driven the 90 for a week or so. When I first drove it today, there was a strong smell of gas wafting into the cabin. I checked under the hood and couldn't find anything - no damp spots, no smell of gas, no obvious loose connections.
When I got home, I checked the fuel pump. Everything thing looks secure and is dry.
Next, I pulled the liner back in the trunk and looked at the tank itself. No corrosion or obvious loose lines. But there was a little bit of a gas smell.
Then, under the car again, I found a big (3 - 4")round rubber plug at the center of the car under the gas tank. There's a little crooked rubber tube molded into it and a drop or two of gas was on it.
There was also a drop or two of gas on the rubber plug that's around the pump connections to the tank. The connections themselves were dry, but the edge of the big plug (about 3 -4") closest to the center of the car also had a wet spot of a few drops of gas.
Any idea what's going on here? I can't find any tube or hose or connection leaking - engine on or off - but there are a few drops of gas on these big plugs. Where is it coming from? I'm at a loss.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
The gas tank and filler tube look totally new and uncorroded on the inside of the trunk.
Thanks for any help........ :-(

Right up front. The black/grey box connected on the side of the fuel distributor. The o rings can leak and just weep enough gas to stink up the engine compartment and into the cabin when you're driving.

Number 17 on the diagram, which is identified as a drain valve. From inside the trunk, cannot see this item, as it is under the gas tank. The tank itself looks like new - no rust, corrosion, or cracks that are visible. And all connections are dry in the trunk.
The little crooked rubber tube of # 17 has a few drops of gas all the time now. Used to be dry. I've been under there before.

Still not exactly sure where these O-rings are. Are they generic or are there part #'s for them?

DPR is mounted on the front of the Fuel Distributor, where the lines go in. See the black or grey box mounted on the side of the distributor? On the 4cyl, it's on the inside, right near the manifold. On the 5cyl. it's on the front, right near the passenger headlight (top of it). Pull those two screws and the rings seal in there. You'll be able to see the saturation from the gas on top, especially when it's running.
