Gas struts on cab trunk...

Any pointers as to how I replace them? Seems they must be shot on my cab, they don't help much lifting the trunk and I have to hold on when shutting it or is slams down :-(

Thought I read you can't just pop them off???

ya, get a small flat head screwdriver and release the clips on each end...

they should pull right out.
