Got my wheels yesterday....how much could a tire weight?
Wheels are supposed to be 16lbs ea. Tires are Falken 225/45/17 and the wheel/tire combo seem to weight quite a bit more than 16lbs. This is just my perception, and not a conclusion. Of course there is tire on there but how much could a tire weight. Sorry I don't have a single scale, maybe its time to get one.

Tires are heavy....I'll bet the combo weighs in at atleast 35lbs.
Tires are going to be ~20lbs easily. The stock Speedlines with 205/60-15 Michelin MXV4E's were slightly over 40lbs, going from memory. The 16x7.5's with 225/50-16 BFG's was w/in 1lb of that, again going from memory.

there's no "carved-in-stone" weights for tires but here's some numbers from my notes....
most steel radial 16" tires in 215/50 sizes weigh 22.5-24.5 lbs.
17's add 1-1.5lbs for add'l height & 40-45 series widths.
My Kumho Ecsta's in 245/40/17 weigh 23.75lbs each as there are some lighweight molding processes used in Z-rated tires.
Other than some seriously heavy wheels like Ronal 38's in 17" (28lbs each) tires almost always outweigh alloy wheels.
