There IS A HELLA lot of oil in the little crevases arround the lid...so this is where my oil leak is coming from.

just lettem be. They wont come loose and there's only 1 moving part inside (ball bearing).
Clean both gasket surfaces up with Acetone or laquer thinner, apply small bead of silicone around both gasket mating surfaces and bolt holes. If ya wanna do it REALLY right clean all oil out of bolt holes with Acetone on a Qtip and use a small dab of silicone on each bolt before torquing. Als long as bolts and threaded holes are 100% oil-free silicone makes a GREAT thread sealant. Then torque in sequence to spec and forget about it for 25 years or so.

If you didnt put that oil there then thats where the oil is coming out at. What I mean is the gasket might look good but its obvious that its coming out because the gasket should be dry of oil.
