Default Guys with Quattros need help here...what's a bad driveshaft CV sound like? Does it sound like...

a bad axle CV with clicking and such would or does it sound like a bad wheel bearing? The noise comes from the front & I've checked everything up front that I can & still have an odd slight grinding sound. I've replaced the front wheel bearings on both sides and I know the CV's are sound. The only thing I have not replaced if the brake pads on my Porsches...I'm running semi-metallic and will soon change to ceramic composite to see if the sound goes away.
I'm also wondering if I have warped rotors. They are Wildwoods.
I'm asking these questions before I drop big bucks.

My bet is brakes. Does it go away if you're going slow and stab the brakes and quickly release?

The sound seems to dissipate a bit. At full stop or idling don't hear it at all.

Default None of that. I looked with a fine tooth comb. Both sides seem to have the problem..

I'm starting to think warped rotors from the semi-metallic pads.

Default you'd feel warp rotors in your braking, and if the sound were warped rotors it'd be on-again, off-

again as the rotor rotated while moving.
