Had tranny serviced. Now the fluid comes up on the dipstick over the plastic part onto the metal.

Did thy overfill it? There is an indentation on the plastic part on the end of the tranny dipstick. Is this where the fluid is supposed to come to like on an oil dipstick? It now comes about 1/4 inch onto the metal part when car is warm. Is it bad to drive it like this?

My guess is that it's overfilled, and yes it can be problematic if it's high enough to get whipped up into ATF cappacino foam. Check it when it's warm and on a level surface to be sure. LATERS!

Good luck getting some out. If the dipstick tube will unscrew from the pan, you might be able to drain it there, but I couldn't break mine free, and I didn't want to take the torch to it ;-). LATERS!
