How do you remove the head unit from a 90...I have an aftermarket pioneer unit but I didn't install it so I have no idea how to take it out...I know that all units are different but maybe someone will have some useful information...thanks.

if you pull away the trim surrounding the head unit to expose the sleeve, you might be able to see a notch in the middle of each side. If there is a notch there, find a very thin screwdriver (two would be easier) that can be inserted into the notch about and inch or two. Once the screwdriver(s) are in place, pull their handles gently together to unhook the tab on the sleeve and pull the head unit out. Most head units come with their own tools to remove them, maybe you can talk a stereo shop into letting you have some that they may have laying around (if they do installs, the probably just throw the tools away as they come in every box). Good luck.
(Disclaimer: If you break your stereo trying to take it out, don't blame me.)

then inserted it in until you hit the release point on each side. pull out by using the slot for the tapes. Be careful not to force it and crack the display like i did, good thing i don't plan to put that back in.
