Default Headlight and foglight solution for my 90cs

I have a 1993 Audi CS. I have to run the factory headlights on hi beam so I can see the road. These lights are terrible. My one fog light doesnt work either. I was wondering if anyone had any inexpensive ideas to get new lights up front. I think this car has had some front end damage and the lights seem to point in the wrong direction. I think maybee it would be better for me to get all new lights and have someone install them (Straight). Lemme know

You can adjust the level of the beams.

Default if you are Scrooge, get "Depo" H4 Eurolamps from Importvision.com and @ same time get clear coners

as well replace you f'ing foglight

If you are more serious about some decent lighting, look into full 1piece Euro headlights.

you may choose either the H1/H4 lamp that was OE on European model B4 sedan & S2. Or you can go 'bling' with the H1/H1 Elipsoid projector lamp from the RS2 car. Easiest access to either of these lamps is from Ubernugen.com or Euro-Audi-Parts.com . Both vendors and great and based in North America. Prices are very standard, you are hard pressed to score much of a deal from anyone in America with specialty Euro parts.

And then to top it off if you get the RS2 lamps you can transplant A6 lowbeam HID system and then have Xenon.

Regardless for any of the lamps you choose (H4, H1/H4, H1/H1) get good bulbs. Philips 4000k blue vision are decent, or else you can splurge and get real Osram Plus bulbs.

basically it all comes down to what sorta coin yer willing to drop. But yea, everyone will agree with you that the OE North American lighting SUCKS!!!

Default I have a set of Hella fogs

I was gonna install, yours for cheap to get em off my hands/out of my garage. They fill the stock fog location nicely and add better light output than the stocks.

My next suggestion is too then take the stock headlights off the column switch and wire em directly to the battery. There has been mulitple write-ups and pictures here on the 80/90 forum throught the years. Make sure to use at least a 14 gauge wire and you can then get a brighter wattage bulb in the stock. Go here http://www.rallylights.com/hella/H4.asp and look for the item number HL78142. These will be fairly good for what you are looking for. They will run at 90w low beam and 130watts high beam. You current setup is most likely 55 low and 80 high. But you really will NEED to upgrade the wiring before you go any higher. The wiring was only meant to handle 80 watts roughly. Warning though, these bulbs will not last long. They make flake out in like 5 months, so buy a couple pair. @ $9 a piece they are easy to afford. If you really then need more, which you are just marginally increasing your output anyway, get some Depo's or "euro headlights" from importvision.com. They sell a set with clear corner turn signals as well for a reasonable price.

Optilux 1400 Fogs.

try adjusting them... if they are aimed too high on the low beams, light output will be crap.
