My headliner fabric fell down over the weekend and I am in the process of pulling the board out so I can reupholster it.
What's the consensus on this? I got a quote of $150-175 from a shop near me in Cincinnati. Am I going to be able to do this well enough or should I just pay someone to do it?

my headliner is starting to come down to so i've been looking into replacing it. Putting the new headliner on is easy, its getting the headliner board out thats a pain. A friend of mine did it in his 93 S4 and he said he had to take out one of the front seats to get the board out. but once its out its easy. Peel of the old headliner, scrape the leftover foam from the board with a wire brush, spray adhesive on the board and the fabric of your choice. wait for the glue to get tacky then stick the two together. Reinstall the board and your done. depending on what you want to use, headliner material is between 15 (basic) and 30 (suede) dollars per yard. you prob need 2-3 yards and a day or two. You can get it online and the have it a Jo Ann fabrics.
