Heater Core making life difficult....

So I've been digging for my heater core for the past three days and have FINALLY gotten the dash removed and am now staring at the aftermath. I have an 89 so the ventilation was attached to the dash so I think I'm just faced with removing the Evaporator housing, unfortunately I can't seem to figure out how. Bentley says, "Remove Evaporator Housing" so I'm at a loss. Anyone know where to go from here.....

PS- I have the writeup by dragon-ryder but I think its a little different cause mine is older.
