Default Help, '88 Audi 90 Q won't start on cold engine

I changed both temperature sensors that sit in the coolant. I can't start the engine. Then, I disconnect the little temperature sensor and It starts, runs ok, but keeps the engine rolling preety high. Any ideas of it could be ? Thanks.
