Problem: number one cylinder is dead; plug is dry no fule on it. Compression is ok.
Changed: cap rotor, switched injectors with another cylinder, changed fuel filter (was pretty bad) ignition wires, plugs
Ran codes and nothing, i use a stethescope and i can hear the injector clicking but it doesent seem to give any fuel. Did a spark check and it has good spark. Does anybody have any ideas on wht the problem could be? I have been working on it for days; its a late production 1990 coupe.

could the fuel pressure regulatior effect only one cylinder? the farthest from the inlet of the rail?

clog in the rail? why don't you try to determine Fuel Press @ the return line...

I cannot get my hands on a fuel pressure guage. Any ideas? I have one but it uses a scrader valve. Are their any fittings out their to adapt it?

MOST of the fuel system stuff is the same between those cars. That's at least what my Dad did when he was looking for fittings to attach a FP-gauge onto one of our Volvo's. He used it for the Mercedes to IIRC. Something to look in to at least. Other than that you'd haveta go an try to buy fittings/FP-gauge
