Default Help with rough running coupe 20V

Searched the archives and decided to replace the fuel filter but this did not help. Symptoms are as follows: No codes set, idles perfectly, spark plug wires and spark plugs are fine, when trying to accelerate it acts like it is running out of gas, once I actually get up to speed on the interstate it will hold 75 just fine but if I try to accelerate faster it starts jerking again. It hesitates like this whether I am driving or sitting in the driving revving up the car. Any suggestions of where to start. TIA

Default check the distributor, burnt or cracked? Check plug wires, any cracks

or white marks on the long tubes? Whiteness coule mean a leak in teh seal and causeing it to ground out to the block. plugs? mostly check those first then get back to us.

They are the easy stuff to look for.

7A engine? You have got to be getting codes for such a condition. Have you got codes out before - not trying to denigrate anyone but simply eliminating possibilities. Are u getting the 4444 or the 0000 codes to indicate no faults?
I have had similar feeling problems that turned out to be knock sensor (for which I got codes) and injectors and fuel pump relay (for which I got codes) which turned out to be dirty connection in the connector in front of the distributor.

Default This guy has hit it on the nail. But worse case scenario...distributor gear is failing.....

has it been replaced? If still OEM, then the teeth on the nylon gear are either worn or missing. Time for a change.

I am getting the 4444 to indicate no faults, am I missing something there? I checked the ohms on each of the injectors and am getting about 3.2 on each of them. I'll check out the fuel pump relay later today.
Thanks!

3.2 is way too high. Tells me they are saying bye-bye.

What's the easy procedure to check if that is the problem?

Default Found the problem!

One of the spark plugs had completely died. Changed them all out and voila, perfect running car again, I also found the crankcase breather was not all the way together below the distributor which cures another problem I had with some leaking oil and horrible smell in the HVAC system. Thanks everyone for your help and advice!
