Default help for a vw friend

She is having trouble with her jetta starting. If anyone has any ideas, please post here or at the link.

"After sitting for two days in rainy/snowy weather, my car won't start. It turns over and sounds like it wants to start, but it won't run. Every once in a while it fires and then dies. I checked the fuse for the fuel pump, and it was good. I removed the distributor cap, which was replaced last month, and wiped it out in case there was condensation or something. The cap is not cracked. I can't see anything under the hood that is glaringly out of place. The car was running fine up until this point.
Any ideas?
I'm trying to avoid getting it towed to a shop."

Thanks in advance.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3572197">no start jetta 2.0 aba</a></li></ul>

try spraying the ignition wires/coil with wd-40 or another moisture displacing spray.
