Default Again, it is most likely the Idle Stabilizer Valve, but...

if you want to look for the Oxygen sensor, it is under the car, in front of the Catalytic Converter. Need a special tool to take it off. But, I'm telling you, dying at a traffic light is nearly always: 1) ISV, or 2) Vacuum leak.

Why it dies when you press the brake? Brakes use vacuum, which is already low from the leak.

Default Ricky

Yes, I went to school with Ric. He was into RC pretty heavily.

Is he still around?

If so ask him if he remembers;

Wilber
Eddie Murphy
Marvin
C. Parke Fry
Killer
The worm

Tell him you talked to "dad" from RIT.

Default RE: I CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM

MY AUDI 80 91 STANDARD DIES OR THE RPM BACK TO ZERO EVERY TIME I PRESS THE CLUTCH AND LET GO EVERY TRAFFIC LIGHT OR ON TURN.

I CLEANED THE ISV IT LOOKS OK CAUSE I HEARD
THE SOUND LIKE T-CLICK, T-KLICK WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, MY PROBLEM NOW HOW TO CHECK THE LEAK OF THE VACCUM OR WHICH ONE CAUSE THERES A LOT OF AIR HOSE AND O2. I HOPE THAT ONE OF THIS IS THE PROBLEM.

RACHEL

I AM PLANNING TO BUY THE o2 BUT i AM NOT SURE IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

PLEASE ADVICE ME .

THANK YOU.

Default At this point, you might want to consider taking it in to an Audi specialist

Some things are not worth the hassle and frustration. Vacuum leaks can be tricky to find on your own. O2 sensors are quite pricey and you would hate to replace a perfectly good one.

Default Agreed

A bad O2 usually will cause poor running, generally not what you describe. You have a major fault.

I know this is an old post but a bad O2 sensor can do EXACTLY what you described.
