Default hmm... anyone here have any idea?

have a 1994 90cs quattro sport and have had great luck with it up till recently, nothing major, just a minor annoyance. occasionally when i am idling at a stop light the car's engine will almost stall (or a couple times stall) and then just roar back too life. Just kind of goes GLUG .... could it be a o2 sensor going bad? the idle isnt set too low i already checked that. other than that car runs great...any thoughts? Thanks guys.

Check O2 and maybe your ISV too.

Default when it is doinf that......

try tapping on the ISV with a small hammer...easy way to check for a gummed up ISV

the car will idle normally if the ISV is bad when you tap

Default I'm almost positive its O2 sensors, i had the same problem...

i cleaned ISV and didnt change, thought it was ignition wires and plugs but it wasnt. I finally replaced the O2 sensors and it was fixed, the car came back to life. O2 sensors should be replaced between 60k and 90k.

Default ISV = idle stabilization valve

or IAC = idle air control

someone will be kind enough to post a picture of it in a V6 engine bay
