I am about to buy a 1988 audi 90 quattro with 81k miles, the car is in what appears very good condition no dents or anything like that. The price is only $3500, so what i want to know is how are these cars? Do they have any major problems i should look for? How reliable are they? I need all the info I can get and help would be great. The reason I want it is I am getting an A4 in September but im only 17 and I think id be more comfortable learning to drive a stick in this car rather than the a4.

Just make sure you take car of it! If your picking one up in nice condition you should be alright! Just take care of the car and the car will take care of you! Unfortunatly my 88 Audi 90 was my first car and i jumped into it too fast! I got caught in a lemon that has too many problems to fix! I really don't want to sink money into it but i guess you deserve what you pay for even though i think i paid too much anyways! You'll grow easily attached to it too!
