What I did was I removed the threaded inserts they had in there. I used the Dremel to remove the lip holding the threaded insert in the hood. (http://www.avdel.textron.com/brochures/threaded_inserts/) Which left a 1/2 hole. Almost ideal for the OEM hood pins and some side to side adjustability on them. Your OEM hood has floating nuts holding the OEM hood pins, to allow fine adjustments of the hood.
I cut a slot in the fiberglass with my Dremel, behind the where the pins go. You can see'm here-

Then got a nut & 1" round washer, Taped them together, inserted them through the slit I cut with a magnet, holding them in place, and threaded the OEM pins thru. Then used an open end wrench to hold the nut, while I tightened the pins down.
I had to do the same thing on the fiberglass hood, I had on my Coupe.
This gave me back the side to side adjustability of the OEM pins, as it was needed. The original locations Fiber Images chose for their hood pins, were slightly off, to the ones on my 90. So I needed the adjustability to get the hood centered correctly and have the pins function correctly.
If you think your going try this method, be very careful of the top carbon fiber layer. Its extremely thin, and would be damaged if a drill or power tool comes in contact with it.

Ben, only 1 other person actually needed the instructions, as only 3 hoods were sent out with the wrong inserts. Yours, mine, and another.
So, everyone elses CF hood should be good to go. ;O)
