How to hold cam pulley while removing the center polt?
It's said the cam pulley should not be able to turn when removing the center bolt, but how? I don't have a special tool for this, actually I couldn't find any kind of these "flange holding" tool in the local autoparts store (what kind of tools can be used here and where to get it?). I tried many ways to hold the pulley, but whenever I began to break it, it turned. Any good ideals? Can I install the tool 2084 to the crankshaft to hold everything in position? In the other words, using the timing belt to hold the cam pulley while breaking the center bolt?
thanks

You can do that but then you are trusting the timing belt to hold all that tension.
Some people use a brass drift through one of the holes in the cam pulley to lock the pulley relative to the head.
Personally I think using the timing belt and the crank locking tool to hold it is ok, so long as you are using hand tools to remove the cam bolt, i.e. you can stop at the first sign of trouble.

Thanks, I hope the timing belt can hold the tension, cs it seems that the timing belt rear cover have blocked any ways to use a brass drift.
