How is the interior ceiling skin attached? Does it come off?

I'm pulling off pillars, door skins to fix all the squeaks and suddenly a new noise has developed from the interior ceiling skin -- rear left side close by the "holy-****!-handle" above the window. I can induce the sound just by pressing lightly on the ceiling area (the handle and immediate area is actually quite solid and quiet). When driving it makes noise at the slightest imperfection in the road, extremely annoying. How can I get in there to investigate? How is the interior ceiling skin attached? Does it come off?

The way you take it off is you cut 1/2 inch strips the width of the roof and rip those off... that's what the manual says anyways.

do i have to pull down that area from the edge and re-glue the area...? kind of primitive and sucky...

How much for the chipping by upsolute? I'd like to get my car "chipped." Do you like your 268 deg cam? My 272 is very finikey below 3500, but above that it pulls very well.
That is all.
