10mm hex socket in the tensioner rotate it clockwise until you can put a skinny bolt through the two "eyes" that line up change the belt and then rotate it slightly clockwise and pull the bolt out and let the tensioner rotate back. I think you may be able to pull on the belt hard to rotate the tensioner but I would use the socket and the socket wrench.

Nothing else to remove? No guards or anything?

Default The front plastic engine cover of coarse. Four allen screws, two under the top engine cover and two

on the front. I don't have a B4 but I know for sure that cover has to come off in the least.

Default If you need more room, the fan shroud can easily be removed from the rad.

That's generally the only thing folk pull out to do the timing belt.

Default i was going to say, " is this a serious question???" on your behalf...

but since i guess you are only a B3 and C4 person i guess it is... yea its VERY easy to do take off the cowl on the front with the two allen heads and then pull it up and use i think a 17mm on the tensioner to relieve it and the belt comes right off. there is a special "bold head" on the tensioner to put the 17mm on too
